Whitefield Health care operates an appointment system to see the GP, Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant or any other Health Care Professional. The surgery operates a weekly appointment booking system BUT we will always take into consideration patient's individual circumstances for advance booking.

appointmentsAppointments

Appointments can be made by telephone, at the reception desk or through Emis Access (online).  Please make a separate appointment for each person.  If you find you are unable to attend please cancel as soon as possible so that the appointment can be offered to someone else.  Patients who repeatedly miss booked appointments cause great inconvenience to staff and other patients.  Appointment times are intended to be a guide only – that is because emergencies may lead to the doctor or nurse running late.  Please note that an urgent appointment may not always be with the doctor or nurse of your choice.

Nurse Triaging Service

The surgery also runs a nurse triage service each morning.  Sometimes it is not always necessary to make an appointment with a doctor to discuss trivial problems – in these cases the nurse through triaging may easily be able to sort your problem or direct you to the right health professional.  If you require any medical advice and test results  or anything you wish to discuss you can ring the surgery in the morning and PRESS 1 when asked on the automated telephone system, your call will be put straight through to the triage nurse.  The triage service is available on the following times:

MONDAY/TUESDAY/THURSDAY/FRIDAY:-      9:00am - 11:30am

WEDNESDAY:-                                               11:00am - 1:00pm
